Giving Societies

Donors are part of an exceptional community of individuals whose foresight and generosity are making a positive difference at MTC. We recognize the essential investments made to the college through our donor recognition societies.

MTC Giving Societies

1974 Society

The 1974 Society is made up of individuals, couples or families who made lifetime cash commitments of $25,000 or more in support of the college. The 1974 Society is named for the year that the State Board for Technical and Comprehensive Education unanimously approved the merger of three separate career-oriented institutions to form Midlands Technical College. There are three levels of membership:

  • Benefactor:  $25,000 - $49,999
  • Distinguished Benefactor:  $50,000 - $99,999
  • Founder’s Circle:  $100,000 >

Harbison Society

The Harbison Society is made up of corporations, organizations and business partners who made lifetime cash commitments of at least $100,000 in support of the college. The Harbison Society celebrates the legacy and value of gifts from businesses and organizations to the cause of higher education.  The Harbison Society is named after the Harbison Campus. There are three levels of membership:

  • Benefactor:  $100,000 - $249,999
  • Distinguished Benefactor:  $250,000 - $499,999
  • Founder’s Circle:  $500,000 > 

Legacy Society

The Legacy Society is made up of those individuals, couples or families who have remembered Midlands Technical College in their estate plans and stand as an affirmation that the college will continue its good work well into the future.

Annual Gift Societies

  • President’s Circle: $1,000 or more - The President’s Circle includes all donors who make an annual gift of $1,000 or more in support of the College.
  • Partners Society: $500 - $999 - The Partners Society includes all donors who make an annual gift of $500 to $999 in support of the College.
  • Friends Society: $100 - $499 - The Friends Society includes all donors who make an annual gift of $100 to $499 in support of the College.
